Northfield Arts Forum’s ‘Girls Group‘ is an informal arts group for anyone aged 8-12 who identifies as a girl.
It’s free and meets weekly to chat, build confidence and make stuff using all different art forms with professional and community artists! So far we’ve designed and painted a huge wall mural, staged a short play, had a video and popcorn night, film screening, written poetry, made dolls and jewellery and much more!
This spring we’re using art to tell stories and explore the history of suffragettes in South Birmingham as part of NAF’s ‘100 Years On’ project. For more information email. email@example.com
or see the ‘100 Years On’ page!
(Please note girls group will not be running over the summer holidays)

We are a small group of volunteers (awesome, friendly and dedicated) we meet to grow and develop a garden on the derelict plot of land opposite Sainsbury’s car park in Northfield. We reuse and recycle as much as we can and grow edibles and insect loving plants to make where we live more beautiful and good for our environment.
We are keen for the folk of Northfield to come along and share the eating and growing! We are all inclusive and have raised planters which are wheelchair access friendly and there are lots areas for children to enjoy and investigate.
We are open Fridays 10-12 there’s always a job to do and an offer of a cuppa even if you don’t fancy digging in, we open on various Saturdays each month for fun activities. See our Facebook page naf earth for up to date events.
Keep up to date with the latest arts events on Twitter & Facebook.
