COVID-19 Response Work

In March 2020 NAF responded to the COVID-19 situation by moving all of it’s work online. Since then we have built a great online community through our social media platforms, and have set up a page full of FREE online resources. Here you will find arts and crafts tutorials for both adults and children, including pre-schoolers, downloadable activity sheets and much more. Please visit https://northfieldarts2020.weebly.com/

NAF Young Rangers

This is a free conservation and environmental group aimed at children aged 6-15. NAF Young Rangers was initially set up as an online summer holiday group in June 2020, and now runs fortnightly over the website https://nafyoungrangers.wixsite.com/home Here you will find activity sheets, arts and crafts activities, puzzles and games and our Nature Challenge! Children can also earn NAF certificates of achievement and virtual badges for completing certain activities and submitting their work. Environmental and conservation issues are currently at the forefront of many people’s minds, and are very important to us at NAF. This is a great way to get your children involved!

Girls Group!

Northfield Arts Forum’s ‘Girls Group’ is an informal arts group for anyone aged 8-12 who identifies as a girl.   It’s free and usually meets weekly to chat, build confidence and make and create using all different art forms, alongside professional and community artists! So far we’ve designed and painted a huge wall mural, staged a short play, had a video and popcorn night, film screening, written poetry, made dolls and jewelry and much more! We have also commemorated the Suffragette centenary by producing items for a display at Northfield Library! To see some of the work we produced and find out more about the Suffragette & Suffragist Centenary Project click here

Due to the current Covid-19 situation our group currently runs fortnightly online over Zoom!

Community Garden

We are a small group of volunteers (awesome, friendly and dedicated) we meet to grow and develop a garden on the derelict plot of land opposite Sainsbury’s car park in Northfield. We reuse and recycle as much as we can and grow edibles and insect loving plants to make where we live more beautiful and good for our environment.
We are keen for the folk of Northfield to come along and share the eating and growing!  We are all inclusive and have raised planters which are wheelchair access friendly and there are  lots areas for children to enjoy and investigate.
We are open Fridays 10-12 there’s always a job to do and an offer of a cuppa even if you don’t fancy digging in, we open on various Saturdays each month for fun activities. See our Facebook page naf earth for up to date events.

Keep up to date with the latest arts events  on Twitter & Facebook.
